Smile Dental Care - Orthodontic Treatment
At Smile we offer a range of fixed and removable orthodontic treatment options to help straighten your teeth and improve their appearance. Orthodontic treatment is carried out by a certified practitioner who will discuss several treatment options with you. Orthodontic treatment can be carried at any age and some of the benefits include:
- Improves dental health as straight teeth are less prone to decay
- Improves the appearance of teeth and can give people extra confidence
- It is easier to clean and maintain proper dental hygiene if teeth are straight
- It is known to have positive effects on chewing, digesting and speaking
What different types of Orthodontic systems are available?
At Smile Dental practitioners we offer the following options:
Inman Aligner is a removable appliance that applies continual pressure that quickly aligns crowed front teeth. It is fast acting and can correct minor crowding in as little as 8 weeks. However it is not suitable for all cases.
Invisalign uses a series of almost undetectable aligners to straighten teeth over a period of time. The custom made aligners are removed every two weeks and replaced by new aligners as part of program. One of their main advantages is that they can be removed for eating and drinking.
Quick Straight Teeth
Quick Straight Teeth (fixed) are bespoke tooth coloured wires making braces the most aesthetic compared to traditional metal wires. The treatment works much like removable aligners, but tooth movement is more predictable and more than twice as quick.
Quick Straight Teeth (removable) are clear straightening system that uses a series of nearly invisible braces. The clear teeth straightening system has been developed to be a quick, discreet and cost effective alternative.
Now you can have the smile of your dreams without anyone knowing that you are being treated. Smile TRU is a series of clear positioners that can be offered as an alternative to fixed braces for most people. Each positioner is designed to fit over the teeth and gently guide them into the desired position.
